PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow control valve which is suitably used as a flow metering valve, for example, in transporting slurry. SOLUTION: The flow control valve 1 comprises: an outer cylinder 2; a cylindrical sleeve 4 which is arranged in the outer cylinder 2 and has a passage 10 therein; and an annular pressure control zone 6 defined between the inner peripheral surface of the outer cylinder 2 and the outer peripheral surface of the sleeve 4. The sleeve 4 is composed of flexible elastic material, and has a throat portion 4c premolded in the passage 10 so as to have an area for restricting the passage 10, and the throat portion 4c expands while uniformly enlarging the lateral cross sectional shape of the throat portion 4c when the operation pressure in the annular pressure control zone 6 has been lowered below the pressure in the passage 10.
