<p>A method for protecting the power amplifier of the BS includes: determining to trigger the power amplifier protection of the BS; and limiting the transmission power of the non-common channels in the BS, so as to reduce the power of the power amplifier in the BS, thus realizing the protection of the power amplifier of the BS. As for limiting the transmission power of the non-common channels, it could be implemented by modifying the congestion control threshold, starting the congestion control, limiting the power of the non-common channels, and making the transmission power not higher than that of the power amplifier. The device includes: power amplifier protection triggering unit, for judging whether to trigger the amplifier protection, if so, sending an indication for limiting the transmission power of the non-common channels; power amplifier protection performing unit, for limiting the transmission power of the non-common channels after receiving the indication from the power amplifier protection triggering unit, so as to reduce the power of the power amplifier of the BS and realize the power amplifier protection of the BS. The invention could reduce the effect of the power amplifier protection of the BS on the traffic, and ensure the normal communication uninterrupted.</p> |
