In a wireless communication system employing a multicarrier modulation/demodulation scheme, a communication method is used in performing an LDPC encoding of transport data columns by use of a parity test matrix in which the column orders are uneven and the columns are arranged in decreasing order of column order. This method comprises a codeword dividing step of dividing a codeword into a plurality of data columns in accordance with a number of data bits that can be assigned to a radio resource block used as unit of radio transmission; and a resource assigning step of assigning, to a radio resource block having a better quality, data columns, which have higher column orders, out of the divided data columns.
