A generator having a PFC(Power Factor Controller) is provided to protect devices connected to a load terminal by reducing harmonic and improving a power factor of an output power supplied to a load. A generator having a PFC includes a sensing unit, a circuit breaker(92), a compensating unit(94), and a control unit(95). The sensing unit senses a power factor of an output power. The circuit breaker(92) on a rear end of the sensing unit blocks electric connection between the generator and a load when an electric current overflows through an output line. The electric connection is switched on/off by an electronic contactor(93) on the compensating unit(94) connected to the output line of a load side in parallel. The control unit(95) connects the proper number of capacitors or reactors to the output line of the load side. |
