CHECK MATRIX GENERATING METHOD

摘要

A check matrix generating method for generating a parity check matrix for LDPC (Low-Density Parity Check) code method. An irregular parity check matrix having an LDGM (Low Density Generation Matrix) structure in which masking pseudo cyclic matrices and cyclic permutation matrices are arranged in an echelon form in predetermined positions is obtained. A masking matrix adaptable to one of coding rates is generated. Using this generated masking matrix, the regular parity check matrix is masked. Thus, a parity check matrix is generated by combining a masked irregular parity check matrix and the echelon lower triangular matrix in such a way that one coding rate is satisfied.
