<p>A solar powered insect killer includes a light for attracting insects, a device for killing insects and a chamber for collecting killed insects. The three parts form a traditional insect killer. The insect killer is provided for power by a solar powered device. The solar powered device includes a solar powered cell, a charge and discharge control apparatus and a rechargeable battery. The solar powered cell transfers solar power to electric energy, and charges circuit for rechargeable battery by charge and discharge control apparatus. The rechargeable battery provides power for a light for attracting insects and a device for killing insects. The charge and discharge control apparatus includes light-sensitive element and timing control switch. As the sky<SUP>,</SUP>s brightness changes, the light for attracting insects automatically regulates the brightness of the light to attract insects into the device to kill them. The killed insects are collected in the chamber. Compared with prior insect killer, the invention<SUP>,</SUP>s advantages are full use of natural light source and no environmental pollution.</p> |
