<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power controller for a hybrid car for compensating for the torque output shortage of an engine, which is caused just after the start of an engine with low fuel consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a hybrid car which is able to travel by using the power of an engine and a generator motor. A power controller for controlling the power source of the hybrid car is provided with a load suppression judging means for suppressing a supply voltage to an electric load in the case of starting an engine.
