SOLUTION: This control device of the transmission has a plurality of power transmission passages arranged in parallel between an input rotary member and an output rotary member of the transmission, and a changeover clutch arranged on the upstream of the plurality of power transmission passages; and has a command value generating means (Step S6, S7, S9, S10 and S11) for generating a command value for enhancing the torque capacity of the other changeover clutch, when enhancing the torque capacity of a predetermined changeover clutch for transmitting torque when setting the present gear ratio by the transmission, reducing the torque capacity of the other changeover clutch without transmitting the torque when setting the present gear ratio, enhancing the torque capacity of a first power transmission passage arranged on the downstream of the predetermined changeover clutch and reducing the torque capacity of a second power transmission passage arranged on the downstream of the other changeover clutch, a torque capacity determining means (Step S13) for determining actual torque capacity of the other changeover clutch, and a learning correction means (Step S13) for learning and correcting a reference command value when controlled in the torque capacity just before the other changeover clutch can transmit the torque on the basis of a determining result of the actual torque capacity of the other changeover clutch.
