PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image restoration filter for use in restoring an original image from a deteriorated image, the image restoration filter which has an easily adjustable parameter and is easy to use. SOLUTION: The image restoration filter is provided with an image restoration degree adjustment parameter for adjusting the degree of image restoration, and configured to continuously change the degree of image restoration by adjusting the image restoration degree adjustment parameter. That is, the image restoration filter is changed from a filter which does not act at all to an inverted filter by adjusting the image restoration degree adjustment parameter. Also, point spread functions expressing deterioration are decomposed into point spread functions for designing the image restoration filter and point spread functions to be used for image restoration.
