PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spray nozzle and an insert capable of spraying with a very small liquid flow rate and a very small quantity of air. SOLUTION: The spray nozzle is constituted so that the insert 3 is incorporated in an outer case 2 and the outer case 2 comprises an outer case main body 5 and a cap 6 screwed in the outer case main body 5. The cap 6 has a nearly cylindrical form and the tip part of the cap 6 has a tapered nearly truncated cone like cylindrical shape. A tip opening part 10 is formed on the truncated cone shape part 9. The insert 3 is provided so that a liquid pipe 14 is forcibly inserted to penetrate along the axis line of a round rod like main body part 13. The main body part 13 is round rod like and the tip part is formed to be tapered truncated cone like. The liquid pipe 14 is provided to extend to the tip side from a truncated cone like part 15. The tip part of the extended part of the liquid pipe 14 is formed in the truncated cone like part 16.
