PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic bread maker capable of making square-shaped bread with excellent outside appearance. SOLUTION: The automatic bread maker includes a bread case 6 in which a bread material is stored, a kneading function for kneading the bread material in the bread case 6, a fermenting function for fermenting the kneaded dough, and a baking function for baking the fermented dough. An inner lid 22 is detachably attached to the top of the bread case 6, and the inner lid 22 has a pattern marking means 23 for marking a pattern on the surface of the baked bread. The inner lid 22 is attached to the top of the bread case 6 with such retaining force as not to be detached when the lid is pushed up with the inflation of the dough, and is made of an excellently heat-conductive material. The low-viscous surface treatment is applied to the inner surface of the lid. The pattern marking means 23 is composed of punched holes 23 opened in the shape of an optional pattern, and the punched holes 23 are also used as vent holes for discharging air.
