PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for preventing the formation of accumulation of feed, caused in a feed gutter of a front or rear part of a cage row in a hopper-feeder cage system, especially the device for preventing the feed from accumulating, preventing the tendency of increasing the feed amount at both terminal sides of the feed gutter, reducing the load on a feed-returning unit, and providing the feed amount without overs and shorts to poultry. SOLUTION: The device for preventing the feed from accumulating is constituted by arranging a feed-receiving tray (a) for preventing the feed from being fed, at the lower part of the outlet of a moving hopper feeder (4) within a range from the turning back position on the feed gutter (7) in which the accumulation of the feed is required to be prevented, in the hopper feeder cage system comprising the hopper feeder (4) reciprocatingly moving along the feed gutter (7) and for feeding the feed to the feed gutter (7), and the feed-returning unit (9) for moving the feed accumulation (8) formed at the turning back position of the reciprocating movement of the hopper feeder (4) and in the feed gutter (7), along the feed gutter (7) to the center side of the feed gutter (7).
