The sliding element (12) is designed as a linear projection located at the front edge of a housing (16) attached to the door of the vehicle and engages with a bearing (14) attached to the vehicle close to the hinges. When the door is opened, the element (12) is also moved along the inner surface of the bearing (14). Several vertical grooves (32) serve as stops in order to lock the door in different positions. The housing (16) is closed with a lid fitted with several helical springs keeping the sliding element (12) under pressure.
