The device (2) is of a rectangular shape (4) with several vertically positioned bars (10) and two inclined legs (6) at the back. One of the vertical bars (12) serves as a stop element for the wooden parts to be clamped in. The lower edges of the work-piece can be placed on top of several horizontally positioned rails (16). Each of the vertical bars (10) is fitted with clamping elements (14) supplied with pressurized air or an hydraulic fluid through appropriate ducts (44) and either hydraulically, pneumatically, or mechanically controlled.
