<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dynamic camera color correction device for properly correcting a color of an image without being affected by a variation in photographing environments such as a camera setting-up environment and insolation conditions, and a video retrieving device using the correction device. <P>SOLUTION: The position and color information of the background imaged by a camera 110 at initialization is kept in a reference table 124 by a background extraction part 121 and a color extraction part 123. The background of the camera 110 in use is extracted by a background confirmation part 122 and the color extraction part 123. Whether or not the color space has changed by a variation in insolation is determined by a color comparison part 125.
