<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color gamut generation device, a method and a program which can generate a color gamut capable of obtaining an appropriate color reproduction in all areas of the color gamut. <P>SOLUTION: A color gamut generation section divides a second color gamut generated based upon a first color gamut in a color space of an input color image signal into a plurality of color areas, corrects color gamut formation data of the second color gamut by the divided areas, and generates a third color gamut based upon the corrected color gamut formation data. The color gamuts after the correction processing are passed to a multi-dimensional lookup table generation section 3, which sets values after color conversion at respective grating points. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
