<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery improved in a sealing property by preventing leakage of gas generated from the inside of the battery or an electrolyte by inserting an adhesive substance between a safety vent and a gasket and between the safety vent and a can. <P>SOLUTION: This lithium secondary battery includes: an electrode assembly 200; the container type can 300 for storing the electrode assembly; the safety vent 410 for sealing an opening of the can and having a center part sealing the opening of the can and projecting to a lower part; a current cutoff means 420 installed in an upper part of the safety vent 410; and the gasket 305 located between a cap assembly 400 and the can 300 for keeping airtightness; and is characterized by forming an auxiliary sealing part 500 between the safety vent 410 and the gasket 305. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
