<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical lithium ion secondary battery having a structure in which a center pin can be inserted into an electrode assembly after an electrolytic solution injection process in order to improve impregnating property of the electrolytic solution. <P>SOLUTION: This cylindrical lithium ion secondary battery is provided with the electrode assembly and a case housing the electrode assembly therein, the center pin inserted into the center part of the electrode assembly, a cap assembly for sealing the upper end opening part of the electrode assembly, and the upper insulating plate positioned between the electrode assembly and the cap assembly. The cylindrical lithium ion secondary battery is disclosed which further has a center pin detachment prevention part so that the center pin will not be detached to the outside thereof after the passage of the center pin, while a hollow part is formed at the center of the upper insulating plate so that the center pin will not be detached after electrolytic solution injection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
