<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of detecting wavelength of light with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: This wavelength detector for detecting the wavelength of light comprises a plurality of light receiving elements, an arithmetic section, and a wavelength detecting section. The plurality of light receiving elements have different spectral sensitivity characteristics. The arithmetic section determines the output ratio of the plurality of light receiving elements.
