<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet image recorder which has a high image quality and superior curling characteristics, and prevents an end from being stained even when recording is carried out at a high speed, and to provide an inkjet image forming method. <P>SOLUTION: In the inkjet image recorder which forms an image by making an ink for inkjet ejected from an inkjet head onto a recording paper 14 carried by a belt, the ink for inkjet includes at least water, water-soluble organic solvents and pigments. A content of the water is not smaller than 10 mass% and smaller than 50 mass% of a total ink mass. Moreover, among the water-soluble organic solvents, the water-soluble organic solvent which has an SP value ((MPa)<SP>1/2</SP>) of not smaller than 16.5 and smaller than 24.6 is contained by 30 mass% or more of the whole ink. The recording paper is a cut sheet cut in units of sheets. An interval between conveyed recording papers is not smaller than 10 mm and smaller than 30 mm.
