<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of selective hydrogenation using a catalyst with controlled porosity, in which a polyunsaturated compound contained in gasoline is hydrogenated selectively into a monounsaturated compound and simultaneously a light sulfur-containing compound is reacted with an unsaturated compound and converted into a heavier compound by using the deposition-type catalyst which is deposited on a carrier in a sulfurized state, contains at least one metal of group VIB and at least one metal of group VIII and has controlled porosity. <P>SOLUTION: The method of selective hydrogenation using the catalyst with controlled porosity comprises a step of bringing a supplied material into contact with the catalyst at the temperature of 80-220°C at the liquid space velocity of 1-10 h<SP>-1</SP>under the pressure of 0.5-5 MPa. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
