<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphorus-containing polyester resin usable for solving such problems as forming aldehydes like acetaldehyde and/or cyclic oligomers and the resulting molded form's transparency deterioration involved in conventional technology by deactivating the action of a polycondensation catalyst used in the polyester's production, and also reduced in the content of metal atoms eluting from the polymerization vessel, and to provide a polyester resin composition comprising the above polyester and capable of efficiently producing a blow-molded form or the like excellent in transparency and flavor retainability, free of such a problem as transparency deterioration attributable to mold staining in making a continuous molding operation and also excellent in heat-resistant dimensional stability, and to provide applications of the polyester resin composition. <P>SOLUTION: The polyester resin is composed mainly of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid component and a glycol component and contains 100-10,000 ppm, on a phosphorus atom basis, of a phosphorus compound and also is characterized in being less than 10 ppm in Cr atom content. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
