<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container which retains strength without damaging its function of gradual melting, reduces the taper of the container to the minimum when a medical discharged material is sterilized, and is subjected to an oil-melting treatment. <P>SOLUTION: The container includes an almost square bottom board (11), a side board (12) which extends from the bottom board (11) toward the top of the side board (12) while widening slightly, and a lid member (20) which can be attached removably to the top of the side board (12). The side board (12) is provided with first melting portions (13) each having a number of recessions (14) which are so formed discontinuously at a given level from the bottom board (11) as to circle around the side board (12).
