PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paraffin infiltration process for a tissue sample to sufficiently infiltrate paraffin into the tissue sample even if the tissue sample is such that it is hard to sufficiently infiltrate paraffin into the tissue sample by a conventional paraffin infiltration process. SOLUTION: The process is characterized in that: when immersing a tissue sample, with dehydration and degreasing treatment performed therefor, in a liquid of molten paraffin to infiltrate the paraffin into the tissue sample, the tissue sample is immersed in the liquid of molten paraffin to infiltrate the molten paraffin into the tissue of the tissue sample; thereafter, the tissue sample is cooled to solidify the infiltrated molten paraffin; and then, solidification/remelting treatment is performed at least once as to the same tissue sample for re-immersing the tissue sample in the liquid of molten paraffin to remelt the solidified paraffin infiltrated into the tissue sample.
