Folding appliance comprises rotatable folding cylinder (01) bearing a movable cylinder armature (07) and a plate cam (33) which is moved by touch arm (22) on the cylinder armature, in order to control the movement of the armature. Using an adjustment device, cylinder armature can be fixed in a locking position, in which the touch arm is spaced apart from plate cam by a full revolution of the folding cylinder.
