<p>A heating element which does not change in flexibility throughout the period from before and during heat generation by the heating element to after completion of heat generation by the heating element. It has an excellent warming/heating effect and, despite this, does not cause redness, diseases, etc., even when used for long. It is highly safe. The heating element (1) has moldings (3) of a heating composition which generates heat upon contact with oxygen. The moldings (3) are disposed so as to be sandwiched between a base (15) and a covering material (14). Each molding (3) and a peripheral part therefor are sealed to form separated heating parts (4) including the moldings (3) and separating parts (6) comprising sealed parts (13). The heating element (1) is characterized in that: it has four or more such separated heating parts (4); the separated heating parts (4) each has a length of 5-300 mm, a width of 1-25 mm, excluding 25 mm, a height of 0.5-10 mm, excluding 10 mm, and a ratio of the length to the width of 2.0-60; the separating parts (6) each has a width of 0.1-100 mm; and the heating element (1) has a minimum bending resistance of 100 mm or less and a minimum-bending-resistance proportion of 60 or less.</p> |
