<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information input method and a system for reducing the cost required for inputting information necessary for creating an electronic information file or the like as well as securing confidentiality, and for especially reducing the man-hour and the cost required for verifying input information. <P>SOLUTION: The handwritten or printed document information is read as image data, and divided into a plurality of pieces of partial image information. Identification information for specifying the document and a serial number for the partial image information is added to the divided partial image information. The plurality of pieces of partial image information are distributed to a plurality of terminals along with the identification information. Required character information included in the partial image information is input as a text code by respective terminals. The text code input in each of the pieces of partial image information input by the respective terminals is collected and synthesized based on the identification information.
