PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus of modifying an integrity protection configuration of a user end in a wireless communications system. SOLUTION: The method includes steps of: receiving a first RRC message by the downlink of a first SRB for modifying the integrity protection configuration; setting an activation time of second SRB uplink to a result adding a value of 2 or more to an RRC sequence number of an RRC message finally transmitted in the second SRB uplink; attaching the activation time of the second SRB uplink to a second RRC message utilized for indicating the completion of modifying the integrity protection configuration; outputting the second RRC message to the network end of the communications system through the first SRB uplink; and finally, outputting a third RRC message having a sequence number equal to the activation time through the second SRB uplink after receiving an acknowledgement message indicating that the network end has successfully received the second RRC message.
