PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera designed such that an optical path different from a photographing optical path has an imaging means used for, for example, monitoring of a subject image, a vignette in the vicinity of an image face and a decrease in light quantity are minimized and reductions in size and cost are achieved. SOLUTION: The camera includes: an optical path branching means 13 for guiding a subject luminous flux to an optical path different from that of a first imaging means: a finder optical system 20 disposed on the different optical path; a primary image forming face 21 for the subject luminous flux; a second imaging means 14 branching off from the optical path of the finder optical system; an image reforming optical system 30 that projects the image on the primary image forming face onto the second imaging means; and a means for displaying the image obtained by the first or the second imaging means. The camera satisfies the following formula: ¾TAN<SP>-1</SP>(OBJH/ENP1)-TAN<SP>-1</SP>(OBJH/ENP2)¾≤20°C, wherein ENP 1 represents a distance from the entrance pupil of the image reforming optical system to an image on the primary image forming face and ENP2 represents a distance from the entrance pupil of the finder optical system to the image on the primary image forming face (the eye point of the finder optical system is an arbitrary value of 0 to 50 mm from the final face of the optical system toward the observation side), and OBJH represents the maximum effective light ray height on the primary image forming face.
