PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-speed and high-accuracy rotation angle detector, and to provide a bearing provided with the same. SOLUTION: The rotational angle detector provided with a plurality of linear magnetic sensor arrays, arranged in the axial directions of the center of rotation in a magnetic field generating means; an A/D conversion circuit for converting its output into digital signals; a zero-cross position detection means for detecting the zero-cross position of field distribution on the basis of its output; and an angle-measuring means for detecting the angle of rotation of the magnetic field generating means on the basis of the zero-cross position. Furthermore, it is provided with a detected-position storage means for storing the detected zero-cross positions; a scanning range setting means for setting the scan range of the next magnetic sensor arrays by prescribed standards on the basis of the stored zero-cross position; and a scanning circuit for reading detection signals of the magnetic sensor arrays within the range set by the scanning range setting means. Partial detection signals, limited to within the scanning range, are used to detect the zero-cross position, and the angle of rotation is detected on the basis of the zero-cross position detected, on the basis of the partial detection signals.
