The method involves assigning a measured depth value to each surface and/or raster unit in such a manner that a depth card of an original surface is developed. Data record of an evaluation of depth values is subjected with respect to influence of evaluation to reflection characteristics. A reflection value is assigned to each surface unit based on the evaluation, and is stored in another data record. The latter data record is provided to a processing or verification system.
