[PROBLEMS] To provide a means whereby the environment of a host under proliferation can be calibrated with the passage of time in proliferating a starting material for producing a bioproduct, in particular, a vaccine (for example, an influenza virus strain) in a host (for example, an embryonated hen egg) to achieve a high titer. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] It becomes possible to estimate the environment of a host, from which a bioproduct can be produced, by irradiating the host with light having a wavelength falling within a range of from 400 nm to 2500 nm or a part of this range, detecting the reflected light, transmitted light or transmitted and reflected light to give absorption spectral data, and then analyzing the absorbances at the all of the measurement wavelengths or at a specific wavelength by using an analytical model having been preliminarily formed.
