<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head which has a magnetoresistance effect element having a pinned layer and a free layer, and can fully suppress noise even if current density is high. <P>SOLUTION: This magnetic head 10 includes a magnetoresistance element 12 comprising a first pinned layer 14, a first spacer layer 16 including an insulator, the free layer 18 in which the magnetization direction is changed depending on an external magnetic field, a second conductive spacer layer 20, and a second pinned layer 22. In the magnetoresistance effect element 12, the layers are laminated in this order, the magnetization direction D<SB>m1</SB>of the first pinned layer 14 is substantially fixed in one direction perpendicular to the laminated direction, and the magnetization direction D<SB>m2</SB>of the second pinned layer 22 is fixed in the direction reverse to the magnetization direction of the first pinned layer 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
