PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor in which a sufficient storage capacity for executing inversion processing of an image can be secured when a free capacity of a storage section is deficient. SOLUTION: A complex machine (image processor) 1 uses an ADF 4 to switch-back transport an original G to thereby reads double side images of the original G, wherein an estimated free capacity M is obtained on the basis of preset reading conditions (resolution and gradation) of an image reading unit 22 (step S5), the propriety of the inverting processing is judged on the basis of the estimated free capacity M (step S6), and when the inverting processing is disabled, the processing of reducing the setting values of the reading condition is executed (step S603).
