PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ultrasonic wave-cooled food obtained by being economically suppressed in icing of moisture in food caused through applying ultrasonic energy to the food when cooling moist food to a temperature below zero. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic wave-cooled food is obtained by applying the ultrasonic energy to the moist food, wherein freeze of the moisture in the food is suppressed even under such a condition as to cool the food to a temperature below zero through sweeping or intermitting the frequency in an ultrasonic wave area, or controlling the intensity of the frequency so as not to cause standing waves, vibration nodes or the like in the inside of the food.
