the chain scraper has trough pan sections (4,5,6) fitted either side with upper and lower guides (11, 12) as well as base plates and formed as replaceable single or multi-part cast members of high grade cast iron. The trough-shaped boxes (2, 3) into which the component parts can be fitted are made from steel plate. The trough pan sections overlap one another over the entire width of the trough. The trough-shaped boxes have side walls (22) with U-shaped profiles with coupling elements at the ends to connect up with adjoining boxes.
