<p>A metering system and method of data flow direction and quantity in p2p network and the business mode based on this technique can account the flow direction and quantity effectively, and lighten the pressure of the center server, and guarantee the fidelity and security of the statistical data. The metering method of the present invention includes the flowing steps: each terminal for uploading and/or downloading accounts the source and the direction going to of the data packet, and data size, scale and/or data identification, the statistics can be real time or once every moment; the terminal for uploading and/or downloading, after checking data preliminarily, uploads the effective statistical report to the center server, the report upload can be real time or once every moment; the center server or the center server group collects data and checks it secondly, wherein the data collected can be collected according to the specific download file or the specific terminal; the center server or the center server group feeds back the statistical data to the terminal for uploading and/or downloading; the center server or the center server group and/or the terminal generate the ultimate charging report; the center server or the center server group assigns fee paid by the downloading users according to the charging report; the terminal for uploading and downloading gets the benefit according to the feedback charging report. The effective propagation business mode of p2p can be formed based on this technique, thereby inspiriting user to provide the upload bandwidth, and greatly improving the download speed, and abating the pressure of the backbone network effectively.
