<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pet food composition containing a plant extract. <P>SOLUTION: This pet food composition contains in one practical form, ingredients selected from 2-deoxy-D-glucose, 5-thio-D-glucose, 3-O-methylglucose, 1,5-anhydrous-D-glucitol, 2,5-anhydrous-D-mannitol, mannoheptulose and their mixture. The pet food composition contains in another practical example, contains a plant extract selected from avocado, alfalfa, fig, primula and their mixtures.
