<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal having improved operability by stabilizing opening/closing operation in use as a telephone function and opening/closing operation in use as a PDA function. <P>SOLUTION: The portable terminal comprises a first casing 2, a second casing 5, a third casing 9, a first hinge 15 for connecting the second casing 5 to the first casing 2 so as to be relatively openable/closable, a second hinge 19 for connecting the third casing 9 to the second casing 5 so as to be relatively openable/closable perpendicularly to the opening/closing direction of the second casing 5 with the first hinge 15, and an opening/closing restricting means 21 for permitting the operation of the first hinge 15 and restricting the operation of the second hinge 19 in the state of closing the second casing 5 and the third casing 9. In use as the telephone function, the opening/closing restricting means 21 permits the integral opening of the second casing 5 and the third casing 9 in the longitudinal direction, and in use as the PDA function, the opening/closing restricting means 21 permits the opening of the third casing 9 in the cross direction with its change-over operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
