摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which permits high-quality image displays by suppressing the deterioration of image quality generated due to alternating drive method. SOLUTION: When such a drive state that an image voltage higher than the counter voltage applied to a counter electrode is applied to a pixel electrode is positive and is in such a drive state that an image voltage lower than a counter voltage applied to a counter electrode is applied to a pixel electrode is negative, the drive state of each pixel is inverted from a positive drive state to a negative drive state or from the negative drive state to the positive drive state by each m frames (m≥1); and upon phase inversion of the drive state of each pixel every N frames (N≥m), on the first frame immediately after the phase inversion of the drive state of each pixel, the drive state of each pixel is made to be the drive state of a polarity opposite to that of the drive state of the last frame before the phase inversion during the beginning prescribed time, and thereafter, is made to be the drive state of a polarity equal to that of the drive state of the last frame, before the phase inversion.
