PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine capable of appropriately suppressing formation of ozone with taking an environment condition during travel of a vehicle into account. SOLUTION: In the control device for the internal combustion engine, an emission ratio determination means determines emission ratio of emission component of exhaust gas by using ozone forming pattern determined based on the environment condition during travel of the vehicle. Concretely, the emission ratio determination means determines emission ration of emission component to reduce ozone formation quantity by referring ozone forming pattern. Also, the emission ratio determination means determines emission ratio of emission component to make emission at least less than a predetermined value. Formation of ozone can be appropriately suppressed irrespective of the environment condition during travel of the vehicle while inhibiting deterioration of emission by the control device for the internal combustion engine.
