The invention relates to a food formulation which is characterised in that it comprises a mixture of effective quantities of at least 1 ingredient from each of the 4 groups formed by dried fruit, cacao, vegetable oils rich in unsaponifiable lipids and flour rich in soluble fibre, in which the mixture contains minimum effective quantities of at least the following bioactive compounds: soluble fibre, unsaponifiable lipids and unsaturated fatty acids, the combination of which produces a positive effect in the prevention of vascular diseases in mammals including humans. The invention also relates to the possible use of said formulation for the production of food and/or dietary products which provide beneficial effects in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases in mammals including humans, without causing any weight gain.
