<p>Woven material is placed on an inextensible support fabric and taken with this over rollers, where it is exposed to the mercerising fluid. Any tension is taken by the support fabric. Specif. the apparatus comprises a feed device with guide rollers, a mercerising area, a stabilising area, a washing area and guide rollers to separate the material and the support fabric.
