[Also in Division C2] Pharmaceutical compositions, having muscle relaxant activity and suitable for oral, parenteral or retcal administration contain cinhamamide derivatives of the forumla I in which R 1 and R 3 , which may be the same or different, are each H, C 1-4 alkyl or C 1-4 alkoxy; R 2 is H, halogen, C 1-4 alkyl or C 1-4 alkoxy; R 4 and R 5 , which may be the same or different, each are H or C 1-4 alkyl, R 6 is H, C 1-4 alkyl, C 1-4 hydroxyalkyl, aryl, or C 1-4 alkyl NH CO.O.C 2 H 4 ; R, and R 8 , which may be the same or different are each H, or C 1-4 alkyl or C 1-4 hydroxy alkyl, R 9 is H, C 1-4 alkyl or C 1-4 hydroxyalkyl and R 10 is halogen, OH, C 1-4 hydroxyalkyl, OCONH 2 , OCONHC 1-4 alkyl or OCONH-aryl, with the proviso that when R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are each OCH 3 , R 4 is CH 3 and R 5 to R 9 are H, then R 10 is not OH, in association with pharmaceutical carriers. |
