Ceramic enamel for roof tiles, of high frit content consists of a mix with kaolin, pigment and water, treated with photocatalytic inorganic material

Ceramic enamel for roof tiles, of high frit content comprises a water 30-40, frit 50-65, matching pigment 0-5 and kaolin 3-8 per cent by weight respectively ageing-resistant mixture. Also claimed is a process making enameled tiles. The process applies the enamel mixture to the raw ceramic tiles, for conventional firing and surface treatment with cleaning solution. The fired tiles are then coated with photocatalytic inorganic material incorporating titanium dioxide, for 5-20 minutes heat treatment at 100-200 [deg] C.
