A reciprocating swash plate type compressor for a vehicle with a rotation prevention mechanism is provided to prevent the rotation of a piston effectively by moving a rotation prevention projection along a rotation prevention groove. A reciprocating swash plate type compressor(1000) for a vehicle with a rotation prevention mechanism includes a cylinder block(110), a front housing(120), an operation shaft(140), a lug plate(180), a rear housing(130), a swash plate(150), and a piston(200). A piston rotation prevention plate(800) with a penetrating hole for passing the piston is installed between the front housing and the cylinder block. The piston rotation prevention plate includes a fixing hole for fixing the piston rotation prevention plate with a screw or a pin through the hole between the cylinder block and the front housing.
