The present invention provides an insert for a patient fluid discharge tube for aiding in removing the discharge tube from the patient, wherein the insert provides a smooth outer surface and also an arrangement for aiding in attaching a remov al tool to the insert such that the end of the discharge tube may be easily grasped and pulled from the patient.
