In a piezo-electric spark generator, e.g. for gas ignition, a striker 2 is loaded against spring 3 by a pawl B projecting from a rotary actuator 7 and engaging a latch 12 projecting from the striker until lifted free by ramps 6 to release the striker against the element 13. The pawl is urged down by a spring 9, and the actuator body is rotated on a manually turned spindle 10. |
