#CMT# #/CMT# Mixing two fluids such as air and water at ambient atmospheric pressure and higher pressure respectively uses part of the kinetic energy from the higher pressure fluid to raise the pressure of the other fluid prior to mixing. The kinetic energy is extracted by a turbine that is driven by the higher pressure fluid to power a compressor (4) that raises the pressure of the second fluid, or by a piston or membrane system with valves.
