The player has a disk driver (40) capable to detect insertion of a disk (90). The disk has activation sectors (96, 97) that are activated at the insertion of the disk by establishing a page mode, in which a function of a video data reader (14) is to allow reading of predefined video data according to chosen sequence, such that the driver remains in stand-by mode, waiting for reception of signals from a remote controller (80). The signals are available once a payment has been made, e.g. over a telephone link, for the content to be viewed. |
